VALDOSTA —
Mrs. Marie Smith, 89, God saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be, So He wrapped his arms around you, and whispered, “Come to me.”
Mrs. Marie Smith of Valdosta, Ga., passed this life on Oct. 18, 2012, at South Georgia Medical Center. She was a graduate of Dasher High School Class of 1941. She worked for CC Vonedore for 40 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Smith; mother, Leola Nixon; father, Louzelle Nixon; and her brother, Columbus Nixon.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her sister, Elonora Montgomery; brother-in-law, Louis J. Montgomery; and her sister-in-law, Katie Nixon; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, in Woodlawn Forrest Church of Christ. Minister Leroy Butler will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. — Harrington Funeral Home
