VALDOSTA —
Patricia “Pat” Hatfield Ball, 77, of Brookfield, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 22, 2013, in the chapel of Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors with her grandson, Ashley Ball, officiating. Burial will follow in Union Grove Church of God Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors.
Grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Born April 10, 1935, in Vernon, Texas, to the late George Hatfield and Minnie Johnson Hatfield, Mrs. Ball was also preceded in death by her husband, Daniel “Dan” Winston Ball, to whom she was married for 60 years at the time of his death in February 2013; four brothers; and four sisters.
Mrs. Ball was a retired employee of the Tift County Board of Education. She enjoyed genealogy, quilting, and taking care of her pets, including “Honey,” her dog. She was of the Church of God faith.
Mrs. Ball is survived by one daughter and one son-in-law, Teresa and Wayne Phagan of Brookfield; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Rocky and Shannon Ball of Tifton, Ronny Ball of Valdosta, and Troy “B.B.” and Staci Ball of Eldorado; 10 grandchildren, Amanda Lamb, Toni Michele Martin, Shannon Sparkman, Chris Ball, Jennifer Zorotovich, Ashley Ball, Derek Ball, Jake Ball, Austin Ball, and Benjamin Ball; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Juanita Farmer of Texas; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
