VALDOSTA —
Joan D. Pearce, 77, of Miramar Beach, Fla., passed away at home July 3, 2012. She was born June 7, 1935, in Clarence, Pa., to William and Evelyn Hoover Dudish.
Mrs. Pearce was a resident of Miramar Beach, Fla. She was originally from Snow Shoe, Pa. She was Christian by faith and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an avid golfer and a very talented cook, seamstress and decorator. Her memory will always be cherished as her light will shine forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
Mrs. Pearce was preceded in death by her father and mother; and her husband of 57 years, Richard P. Pearce.
Mrs. Pearce is survived by one son, Rich Pearce and wife Christy of Miramar Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Dorrie Taber of Miramar Beach, Fla.; Leslie Fletcher and husband Tim of Paw Paw, Mich.; one brother, William Dudish and wife Betty; one sister, Dorothy Morgan and husband William, all of Snow Shoe, Pa. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Jason Pearce and wife Ruth, Eric Pearce, Amanda Smith and husband Nick, Tim Fletcher; and four great-grandchildren, Cyrus, Grace, McKenna and Jackson.
Memorial service will held at 3 p.m., Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home, 150 E. Highway 20, Freeport, FL 32439. Pastors Tom Hamon and Jane Hamon will officiate.
Floral arrangements are being accepted or donations may be made to Emerald Coast Hospice, 131 East Redstone Ave., Suite 110, Crestview, FL 32539.
