VALDOSTA —
Nick C. Law Sr., 81, of Jennings, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at Haven Hospice in Lake City, Fla. Mr. Law was the son of the late Rafel and Nellie Elizabeth Law born on March 16, 1931, in Suwannee County, Fla. He was retired from the Department of Agriculture where he was an agricultural law enforcement officer. In his spare time, he loved farming, hunting, fishing and trapping. Mr. Law was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Mr. Law was predeceased by his daughter, Pamela Law; and a great-grandson.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Wanda Fay Mathis Law, Jennings; two sons, Nick C. Law Jr. and his wife Aline of Jasper, Gregory Bane Law and his wife Lynn of Jennings, Fla.; two brothers, Jewitt Law, Gainesville, Fla., and Drew Law, Lake City, Fla.; one sister, Verdie Moore, Lewisville, Texas; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; caretakers, Marcella Warren and Reatha Anderson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home with Mike Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Jennings.
The family will receive friends on Thursday beginning at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Haven Hospice, 6037 West US Hwy. 90, Lake City, FL. 32055. — Harry T. Reid Funeral Home, Jasper, Fla., is in charge of arrangements.
