VALDOSTA —
Berry Blanton, 57, of Valdosta, Ga., passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on Nov. 16, 1955, in Lowndes County, Ga., to the late Jack Blanton and Sarah Catherine (Sutton) Blanton of Valdosta. He worked for Georgia Automatic Sprinkler and attended Westend Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his sister, Katrina Blanton, Valdosta; niece, Jessica Smith, Valdosta; nephew, Trevor Blanton, Valdosta; niece, Nicole Smith, Valdosta; great-nephew, Kayden Veal, Valdosta; uncle and aunt, Raymond and Betty Ann Sutton, Valdosta; uncle, George Sutton, Valdosta; aunt, Odel Smith, Valdosta; and aunt, Eloise Blanton of Valdosta.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. A private burial will be held in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
