Gertrude D. Dickerson, 82, of Valdosta passed away January 26, 2013 at her residence. She was born May 2, 1930 in Turner County, Georgia to the late Ben Reliford Davis & Mary Delila Davis. Mrs. Dickerson was a member of the Sabbath Day Church of God. She was a good, honest and decent woman that loved her family; loving mother. She is preceded in death by her two sons, Larry Dickerson and wife, Marilyn and Ronnie Dickerson and a son-in-law Ben Santana.
She is survived by Daughter & Son-in-law, Brenda & William Spell, Lake Park, Ga., Sandra Santana, Lake Park, Ga.; Sons, Eddie J. Dickerson, Valdosta, Ga., Kenny L. Dickerson, Augusta, Ga.; 22 Grandchildren ; 50 Great Grandchildren; 13 Great Great Grandchildren and many other relatives and friends
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, January 29, 2013 in the Chapel of Music Funeral Services with Pastor Billy Latham of Unity Sabbath Day Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Monday January 28, 2013 at the funeral home.
