VALDOSTA —
Mireze Lillian Peel Hilton 84, of 11192 Dickey St., Morgan, Ga. passed away Jan. 31, 2013 at her residence.
She was born March 8, 1928 in Cuthbert, Ga. to the late John Allen and Lillian McDaniel Peel. Mrs. Hilton was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Sam Hilton, Jr., five brothers, Cullen, Dempsey, George, A.J. and Louie Peel and two sisters, Eloise Johnson Marie Tompkins.
She is survived by her son, Sammy Hilton and wife Mary Alice of Morgan, Ga.; two daughters, Evelyn H. Bennett and husband Mike of Valdosta; Karn H. Kimbrell and husband Ricky of Shellman; seven grandchildren, Michael Bennett (Molly), Jim Bennett (Lori), all of Valdosta, Chris Hilton (Jeannie), Naples, Fla., Heather Davis (Tony), N. Augusta, S.C., Hannah Peavy, T.J. Peavy and Ashley Peavy, all of Shellman, Ga.; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Minnie Wilkerson, Cuthbert; and one brother, Douglas “Tub” Peel, Brinson, Ga.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today, Feb. 2, 2013 at Morgan Baptist Church with the Rev. Jackie Williams and the Rev. Chjris Holdorf officiating. Interment will be held in Morgan City Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Billy Peel, Don Tompkins, Josh Hilton, Donnie Cheney, Graham Ginn and Wayne Peel.
