VALDOSTA —
Teresa “Terry” Herndon, 52, of Valdosta, died recently at her residence. She was born in Valdosta on Aug. 15, 1960, to Billy Harold Herndon Sr. and Georgia Ruth Gill Herndon. Terry was the owner of Herndon Ventures and was the manager of Eagles Roost RV Resort and Flea Market. She was a member of Wright’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
Terry is survived by her mother, Ruth Herndon of Lake Park; one brother, Billy Herndon Jr. and his fiancé, Beth Sims of Lake Park; her special friend, Tommy Paulk of Tifton; her four-legged babies, Jackson and Levi Walker and Chochiel; uncles, aunts and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father and her grandparents, Jack and Imo Herndon and Albert and Leila Law.
Funeral service will be held Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Wright’s Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Greg Lee and the Rev. Jacque Asbel officiating. She will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Humane Society, 307 E. Jane St., Valdosta, GA or to the Shriner’s, 1822 Palmyra Road, Albany, GA 31701. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park.
