Juan Posada, 82, of Valdosta, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012 at South Georgia Medical center following a lengthy illness. He was born on Aug. 13, 1929 in Weslaco, Texas, a son of the late Mauro and Julia Lopez Posada. Mr. Posada was a member of Azalea City Church of God and a Cattleman for Okeechobee Livestock Market, serving as a Foreman for over 50 years.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Delia Limon Posada, Valdosta; son and daughter-in-law, Juan (Greta) Posada, Jr., Tampa, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Mary (Bob) Raymond, Titusville, Fla.; daughters, Patti Morris, Valdosta; Jo-Ann Barron, N.J.; and son Paul Posada. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Josh Posada, Cory Posada, Steven Raymond, Christopher (Caroline) Worth, Justin Worth, Angela and Tony Quiroz, P.J. Thomas, John Torres, and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Posada will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, June 13, 2012, in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home, with the Rev. Raymond Gabbard officiating.
