VALDOSTA —
Lucy Mae Phillips, 83, of Ray City, passed away Monday, June 11, 2012, at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born Jan. 25, 1929, in Opp, Ala., to the late Calvin Hardy and Isabell Williams Carnley. She was a homemaker and member of Ray City First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, James Richard Phillips of Ray City; three daughters, Janie Belinda Nitz, Warner Robins, Neda Gay Hon, Ray City, Sherry Lynn Peake, Knoxville, Tenn.; two sons, James Richard Phillips Jr., Navaree, Fla., Joey T. Phillips, Jacksonville, Fla.; two brothers, Hearld Carnley, DeFuniak Springs, Fla., Donald Carnley, Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 15, 2012, at Ray City First Baptist Church with the Rev. Robbie Peay officiating. Interment will be in Beaver Dam Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, June 14. — Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville
