VALDOSTA —
Virgil Blaker, 80, of Lake Park passed away at his residence on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012 after a period of declining health. He has been reunited with his wife, Hazel, and is in the presence of his Savior. He was born on Jan. 16, 1932 in Davistown, Pa. to the late Charles and Mary Beall Blaker. Mr. Blaker was retired from the United States Air Force and was a member of Loch Laurel Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Donna Blaker and Donald Blaker and Kay Duncan; a granddaughter and her husband, Angelina and James Wilkes; two great-grandchildren, Gracen and Kinlee Wilkes all of Lake Park; a brother, Eldon Blaker of Bobtown, Pa.
A graveside service for Virgil Blaker will be held at 2 p.m on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012 at the Lake Park Cemetery with the Rev. Milton Sellars officiating. The family will receive friends at the conclusion of the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Second Harvest.
