VALDOSTA —
Raymond E. Mayberry, 80, of Valdosta, Ga., passed away Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 at Langdale Hospice House. He was born September 11, 1932 to the late William and Bertha Hinkle Mayberry. He served in the U.S. Army for two years during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Dainora I. Mayberry of Valdosta, Ga.; son, Eugene Mayberry of Portland, Ore.; son and daughter-in-Law, Raymond E. “Eddie” Mayberry and Ying of Calif.; daughter, Julie Mayberry of Mundelein, Ill.; sisters, Mildred White of Anna, Ill.; Geraldine McLane of Anna, Ill.; Helen Keesee of Scott City, Mo.; brothers and daughters-in-law, David and Shelby Mayberry of Jonesboro, Ill.; Floyd and Vickie Mayberry of Jonesboro, Ill.; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren In addition to his parents, Mr. Mayberry was also predeceased by two daughters, Kathy and Amy Mayberry; and four brothers, Robert, Albert, William, and Sherman Mayberry.
As per his wishes, he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, 11 a.m. at the Providence United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com.
