VALDOSTA —
Dennis Jon Duncan, of Munith, Mich., formerly of Quitman, Ga., age 48, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor. He was born on June 2, 1964, the son of P.D. and Charlotte Duncan. He had lived in the area since 1999, coming from Georgia. He enjoyed bass fishing, hunting, golfing, and in his earlier years softball, football, and running track. For the past 10 years, he was an electrician for Eastern Michigan University.
On June 6, 1987, he married Cynthia Ann Brown in Tifton, Ga., and she survives. Also surviving are his parents of Georgia; two daughters, Devae Duncan and Holly Duncan (A.J. Watters), both of Munith; his twin brother, Darryll Duncan of Ga.; his mother-in-law, Judi (Bernie) Powell of Wisconsin; and father-in-law, John (Anna Marie) Brown of Georgia; brother- and sister-in-law, Blake Brown and Tracy (Greg) Coward, all of Georgia; and one niece, Lauren Coward of Georgia, as well as many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home, Chelsea (with the Rev. Kathy Schell officiating).
The family will receive friends from noon until the time of service.
