-- — Hedwig Ann Staniorski Hagood, 87, of Ambrose Ga., passed away on Friday, March 19, 2010, at home after an extended illness. Mrs. Hagood, a native of Askam, Pa., was born January 9, 1923. She is the widow of the late Gurnie Durell. She is the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Aleski Staniorski. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 22, 2010, at the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah Witness in Douglas, Ga. and the burial will be in the Valdosta City Cemetary in Valdosta, Ga. Survivors include: daughter, Barbara (Neil) Greenwell, Douglas, Ga.; brother Joseph Staniorski, Swayersville, PA; sister Steffie Edwards, Ocala, Fla.; grandchildren Deborah (Billy)Kirkland, Ambrose, Ga., and Diana (Marcus) Owen, Tifton, Ga.; great grandchildren, Alyssa Kirkland, Will Kirkland, Savannah Owen and Alex Owen. — Sims Funeral Home.
