VALDOSTA —
Peggy E. Butler, 70, of Lake Par,k passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at her son’s residence after a lengthy illness. She was born in Tifton, Ga., on March 26, 1942, to the late Murris and Agnes (Brady) Sutton. She was a member of Charity Baptist Church. She attended the Monday Morning Ladies Bible study in Lake Park. She retired from South Georgia Regional Development Center after more than 30 years of service. The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to her dear friends.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Bart and Deborah Butler, Valdosta, Brett and Andrea Butler, Valdosta; four grandchildren, Derrik Butler, Denton Butler, Amber Butler and Kaitlyn Butler; two great-grandchildren, Brandon Butler and Lane Butler; two brothers and sister-in law, Hal and Kathy Sutton, Tifton, Murris Sutton, Tifton; nephew, Joe Sutton; stepniece, Vicki Phillips.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2012 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with a graveside at 2 p.m. in Oakridge Cemetery in Tifton. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
