Doris Stone, 91, of Alapaha, died Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at Tift Regional Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 12, 1920, in Berrien County to the late Eston Solomon and the late Rachel Griffin. She was a homemaker and member of Mt. Paron Primitive Baptist Church. She was the widow of Hazel Stone, and also preceded in death by a son, Raymond Stone; and three brothers, Charles Solomon, Tillman Solomon, and Harold “Babs” Solomon.
She is survived by two sons, Roy Stone and Lamar Stone, both of Alapaha; sister, Nell Rose Nugent of Alapaha; brother, Talmadge Solomon of Jacksonville, Fla.; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at at 11 a.m., Friday, June 29, 2012, in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Fussell officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Paron Cemetery. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today. — Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville
