VALDOSTA —
William E. Norsworthy Jr., 73, of Stockton, Ga., died Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at Smith Northview Hospital. He was born on Nov. 6, 1939, in Homerville, Clinch County, Ga., to the late William Eugene Norsworthy Sr. and Mary Sue Cowart Norsworthy. Mr. Norsworthy was retired from the U.S. Army.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, John E. and Kristine Norsworthy of Carrollton, Texas; two daughters and one son-in-law, Teresa Norsworthy Rathkamp and Bill Rathkamp of Stockton, Angela S. Norsworthy of Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren, Michael Norsworthy of Carrollton, Texas, Billy Rathkamp of Afghanistan, Alyssa Rodriguez (Luis) of Fayetteville, N.C., and David Rathkamp of Stockton; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mary and Paul Hebert, Betty and Augustine Martinez of Stockton and Juanita Faircloth of Whigham.
Memorial service will be held Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with the Rev. George Masciarelli.
