Bernice Bradley Lee

-- — Romans 8:28

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.

On Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012 an angel sealed the lips of our beloved mother. She passed this life at The Presbyterian Home of Quitman, Ga. surrounded by her family and friends. She entered this life on Aug. 29, 1926. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband Eddie, parents Sam and Marie Bradley, three brothers, Samuel, Charlie, Ulysses and one sister Virginia Richardson.

Mother Bernice was born in Lowndes County where she attended public schools. Early in life she joined Brays Temple Missionary Baptist Church. Later she joined Morningstar Missionary Baptist Church where  she enjoyed singing in the choir. She served faithfully. Sister Bernice was a born again Christian, loved by many. She especially loved her family.. Her grandchildren affectionately called her “Granny” or  “Big Mama.” Her warm friendly smile and love of singing will surely be missed.

She leaves to cherish her memory and lament her passing two loving daughters, Eddie Mae (Clarence) Wiggs, Queen (Sam) Robinson, Jr.; three grandsons, Andrew, Min. James “J.P.” Robinson of Valdosta and Dr. Sam (Carla) Robinson, III, Chicago, Ill.; and one loving granddaughter, India (Bryan) McLendon of Fredericksburg, Va.; seven great-grandchildren, Andrea, Brianna, Darian, Bryan Jr., Brandon, Lauren and Caitlin, and also Angelina, Alexzandrea and Jason Wiggs of Anchorage, Alaska; one sister-in-law, Christine Oliver,, Lansing, Mich.; one aunt, Ruby (Al) Lewis, Jacksonville, Fla.; a special niece, Patricia (Carl) Wilcox, god daughter, Geraldine (Kevin) Simmons,; friends, Cora Pugh, Charles and Earnestine Payton; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and sorrowing friends.  Special thanks also to Dr. Hernando Moreno, VMC, Dr. Ven Chiang-Kidney Clinic, the staff at Presbyterian Home of Quitman, Ga. and Bethany Hospice, Cura Care Home Health.
