Verna Lee Williams, age 87 died Sunday Nov. 4, 2012 at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012 at Hickory Grove Methodist Church with burial at Hickory Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Beggs Funeral Home Madison Chapel.
She was born in Camp Henderson, Ala. and moved to Pinetta, Fla. when she was 12 years old from West Florida and has been here most of her life. She worked for O and I Bag Plant and raised poultry in the latter part of her life. She was a caregiver helping Alzheimer’s patients. She kept busy most of her life. She was well known for her crochet and quilting.
She is survived by two sons, Harold Eugene Williams (Udean) and Hermon Wayne Williams (Phyillis) both of Pinetta; one brother, Charlie Wooten (Peggy) of Pinetta, Fla.; one sister, Bonnie Kelley of Mayo, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
