Mr. William F. Deas Jr., a U.S. Army veteran, entered into rest May 31, 2012 at his residence. Mr. William F. Deas Jr. was the husband of Mrs. Peggy Byrd Deas.
Mr. Deas was a native of Valdosta, Ga., of 33 years and the last 33 years in the Augusta area. He was an MP in the United States Army and a self-employed heavy equipment operator. He was a member of Glenn Hills Baptist Church.
Additional survivors include a son, Frank Ford (Robin) Aiken, S.C., Brother, Daniel Deas (Sandra) Augusta, Ga.; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were two sons, William F. Deas III and Daniel J. Deas, and a stepdaughter, Bunny Faulk.
Memorial services will be conducted Sunday at 2 pm at McNeill Funeral Home with Dr. Steven Drawdy officiating.
