Christopher T. (Chris) Stone, 27, of Leesburg, Ga., died June 6, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Porterfield Memorial United Methodist Church. The Rev. Leigh Ann Raynor will officiate. Interment will follow in the Leesburg Cemetery.
A native of Albany, Ga., Chris graduated from New Covenant Academy in 2004 and was employed with Metro Power, Inc. He moved to Leesburg, Ga. in 2009 and was a member of Porterfield Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Gracie Stone of Leesburg, Ga.; his parents, Rick and Patti Stone of Leesburg; his maternal grandmother, Patrice Simpson of Hahira; two uncles, Michael Pope and his wife, Kristin of Valdosta, and Rex Stone of Albany, Ga.; two aunts, Margaret Bruner and her husband, Ralph and Joyce Ward, all of Albany, Ga. and numerous cousins.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Parlor at Porterfield Memorial United Methodist Church.
