Mr. Albert L. Cantrell Jr. age 85, died early Thursday at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility. He was a native of Atlanta and lived many years in Valdosta and Savannah before moving to Statesboro in 2011. Mr. Cantrell was a Veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II and the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mitzi B. Cantrell.
Survivors include his adopted son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Linda Cantrell of Texas.
Services with military honors will be held Monday at 3:00 P.M. at the Georgia Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, Ga.
Mr. Cantrell’s family would like to thank the staff of Southern Manor Retirement Inn and Ogeechee Area Hospice for the loving way they cared for him.
