Mrs. Ethel Gibbs Crews, 86, of Adel, passed away Friday May 4, 2012, at Memorial Hospital of Adel. She was born December 1, 1925 to the late Pratt and Eula Lee Warren Gibbs in Adel, GA. She lived in Cook County all of her life, was retired from Metal Products and a member of Beulah Holiness Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Peggy Crews of Forest Park, GA, and a daughter JoAnn Storey, of Adel; four grandchildren, Peggy and Doug Barnett of Sharpsburg, GA, Shannon and Troy Null of Five Points, AL, Timmy Storey of Adel, Kevin and Mary Gean Storey of Sullivan, ME; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Doris Welch of Valdosta.
Mrs. Gibbs was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Cecil, Sam and George Gibbs, and a sister, Pauline Fender.
Funeral services for Mrs. Gibbs will be held Sunday May 6, 2012 at 2 pm in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Sloan officiating. Burial will follow at Beulah Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. (U.S. Hwy 41 South).
