Gertrude D. Dickerson, 82 of Valdosta passed away Jan. 26, 2013 at her residence. She was born May 2, 1930 in Turner County, Ga. to the late Ben Reliford Davis and Mary Delila Davis. Mrs. Dickerson was a member of the Sabbath Day Church of God. She was a good, honest and decent woman that loved her family; loving mother. She is preceded in death by her two sons, Larry Dickerson and wife, Marilyn and Ronnie Dickerson and a son-in-law Ben Santana.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and William Spell, Lake Park, Sandra Santana, Lake Park; Sons, Eddie J. Dickerson, Valdosta, Kenny L. Dickerson, Augusta; 22 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. today, Jan. 29, 2013 in the Chapel of Music Funeral Services with Pastor Billy Latham of Unity Sabbath Day Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. The family will received friends from 3-5 p.m. Monday Jan. 28, 2013 at the funeral home.
