VALDOSTA —
Corine Hamilton Pearson, 85, of Douglas, Ga., formerly of Berrien County, Ga., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at Coffee Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born on Nov. 30, 1927, in Berrien County, Ga., to the late Frank and Sara Hamilton. She was a loving house wife and wonderful mother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Bennett Pearson; daughter, Barbara Gray; and a son, Gary Pearson.
Her survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Wayne Warren of Lakeland, Ga.; daughter and son-in-law, Judy G. and John Kight of Douglas, Ga.; son, Billy Joe Pearson of Douglas Ga.; son, Ray Pearson of Tifton; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Mark Wessendorf of Douglas, Ga.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at the Okey Grove Primitive Baptist Church, Nashville, Ga., with burial in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services.
