VALDOSTA —
Jack M. Leggett, 65, of Lakeland, Ga., passed away after a brief illness Tuesday morning, Feb. 5, 2013, at Louis Smith Memorial Hospital. He was born in Clinch County, Ga., on Dec. 11, 1947, to the late W.J. and Trudie (Dorminey) Leggett. He was a retired carpet layer by trade in the Boat Industry. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, T.J. Leggett.
Survivors include six brothers, Chester Leggett, Arcey Leggett, Howard Leggett, Billy Leggett, all of Lakeland, Vernon Dorminey, Calvin Dorminey, both of Valdosta; sister-in-law, Geraldine Leggett of Lakeland, Ga.; nephew, Russell Dorminey of Valdosta; niece, Sylvia Roberts of Naylor; great- nephews, Kaleb Tomlinson and Cain Roberts of Naylor; and his companion for 40 years, Delores Bolling (daughter of Curtis Lee Bolling) of Lakeland, Ga.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Burnt Church Cemetery.
