VALDOSTA —
Edwardo Garcia, 69, of Ray City, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at his residence. He was born in Donna, Texas on Sept. 12, 1943, to the late Felix Garcia and Olivia Garcia-Govea. Edwardo was an aviation mechanic for the U.S. Air Force and NASA. He was of the Catholic faith. Edwardo enjoyed riding motorcycles. He loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Edwardo enjoyed fixing things. He was Mr. Fixit.
Edwardo is survived by his wife, Numa Judith Garcia of Ray City; one daughter, Dianitta Williams and her fiancé, Scott McCranie of Fitzgerald; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Roel Garcia of Jacksonville, Fla., Raul and Kelly Garcia of Savannah, Rene and Jacquelyn Garcia of Ray City, D.J. Garcia of Jacksonville, Fla., 14 grandchildren, five great- grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Castro and Gloria Garza of Houston, Texas; five brothers and three sisters-in-law, Clemente and Sylvia Garcia of Houston, Texas, Felix Garcia of Donna, Texas, Frank and Emma Garcia, Greg and Anna Bell Govea and David Guerra of Edinburg, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Paul Edwardo Garcia; and his stepfather, Greg Govea Sr.
At Edwardo’s request, he will be cremated and no services will be held.
