VALDOSTA — Lena Mary (Caul) Einig, 96, of Valdosta passed away Monday, June 28, 2010 at Fellowship Home. She was born in Knoxville, Tenn., on February 15, 1914 to the late William Roy and Clair Edna (Columber) Caul. She was the oldest of seven children. She was a child of God and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Valdosta. She retired from Owens-Illinois Bag Plant where she worked for 25 years. She loved to work in her flower garden; she truly had a green thumb.

Survivors include daughters and son-in-law Sylvia Allbritton, of Valdosta, Carol (Vernon) Howell, of Valdosta, Kathryn Einig Connell of Valdosta; four grandchildren Beverly (John) Baltrus, of Valdosta, Randall (Jennifer) Dalton, of Richmond, Va., Steven Howell, of Savannah, Cynthia (Harry) McCandless, of Valdosta; five great grandchildren Jamie, Thomas and Taylor Baltrus, of Valdosta, Ian McCandless, of Valdosta, and Randall (Brittany) Dalton Jr., of Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Karl G. Einig; sisters, Edna Caul Clark, Margaret Caul Wachter and Grace Caul Johnson; and brothers, William R. Caul, Jr., John Caul and Earl Caul.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday July 8, 2010 in the Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to United Hospice, 407 Cowart Ave. Valdosta, Ga., 31602.
