VALDOSTA —
Mary E. Reaves, 87, of Hahira died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012 at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman. She was born on Dec. 21, 1924 in Jennings, Hamilton County, Fla. to the late Gordon and Callie Buchanan Huggins and had lived in Hahira for 66 years. Mrs. Reaves was a member of the Hahira United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years and a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Reaves was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother as well as secretary for the family business.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Paul H., Jr. and Brenda Reaves; two grandsons and granddaughter-in-law, Reuben Reaves, Keith and Jennifer Reaves all of Hahira; four great-grandchildren, Sarah Grace Reaves, James Paul Reaves, Marlaina Reaves and Jackson Reaves, one sister, Lucy Lehman of Valdosta; three sisters-in-law, Mildred Crafton, Geneva Reaves both of Pinetta, Fla., and Aljean Reaves of Gainesville, Fla. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Reaves, Sr.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 at Friendship Cemetery with the Rev. Ken Morgan officiating. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Martin/McLane Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Hahira Church of God Food Pantry, 206 E.
