VALDOSTA —
Phoebe Souls Griffin, 88, of Nashville, Ga. passed away Thursday, Dec. 06, 2012 at the Berrien Nursing Center after a lengthy illness. She was born Oct. 6, 1924 to the late John K. and Rena Mae (Langford) Souls in Irwin County, Ga. She was a member of the Nashville Church of God and had worked at the Berrien County Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alva Griffin.
Her survivors include daughter, Margaret NeSmith of Nashville, Ga.; son, Ed & Rose Mullis of Orlando, Fla.; step-daughters, Peggy Griffin of Tifton, Ga. and Barbara Baker, of Ypsilanti, Mich.; grandchildren, Linda Mullis and Rena Rowe; great-grandchildren, Carl Andriano, Tammy O’Steen, Kenny Oliver, Jr. and Cody Rowe; and five great-great-granchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until time of the service.
