Hazel Ruth Odom, 85, of Nashville, died Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at Tift Regional Medical Center.
She was born March 4, 1927, in Turner County to the late Newt Wheeler and the late Katie Bowman. She was a homemaker and member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church.
She was the widow of Ralph Willard Odom who died in 1996.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Steve Odom; daughter, Sandra Odom; five brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, Vickie Ward of Omega and Mary Beth (Jimmy) Jefferson of Nashville; son, Roddie (Jane) Odom of Thomasville; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Friday, June 22, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Parker and the Rev. Earl Buckholtz officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today. — Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville
