VALDOSTA —
Bessie Louise Hon, 87, of Lakeland, died Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at South Georgia Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 23, 1924, in Tallassee, Ala., to the late Henry Albert Howard and the late Bessie Smith. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Ray Hon of Lakeland; two sons, Tip (Neda Gay) Hon of Ray City and Charles Ray (Barbara) Hon Jr. of Bushnell, Fla.; daughter, Gayle Altman of Apopka, Fla.; sister, Collis Harris of Prattville, Ala.; brother, Bill Howard of Hollywood, Fla.; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Graveside funeral services and interment will be held in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla. — Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville
