VALDOSTA —
Elise Holder Davis, 105, of Valdosta, died on Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at Fellowship Nursing Home. She was a lifelong resident of Valdosta and was the daughter of Will L. and Alba Clements Holder. She was a member of First Methodist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and the United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC).
Survivors include her son, Edward F. Davis and his wife Brenda of Dalton, Ga.; her granddaughters, Ellen Davis of Jacksonville, Fla., and Angela Moran of Boston, Mass.; three great-grandchildren, Jessica and Chris Bell of Jacksonville, Fla., and Kathleen Moran of Boston, Mass.; a nephew, Dr. Lewis Holder of Cocoa, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, E. Free Davis; a sister, Evelyn Timmons; and a brother, William Holder.
A graveside service for Elise Holder Davis will be held today, May 9, 2012, at 10 a.m. in Sunset Hill Cemetery with Dr. John McGowan officiating. Burial will follow the service in the family lot.
