VALDOSTA —
Mary Abner, 78, of Naylor, Ga., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born June 20, 1934, in Stockton, Ga., to the late Curtis and Elizabeth Sirmans. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Donnie Abner.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Abner of Naylor; son and daughter-in-law, Harvey and Nancy Griffin, Naylor; sons, Ashley Griffin, Lakeland, Ga., Ronnie Abner Sr., Bedford, Ind.; daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and Jerry Sands, Akron, Ohio, Melonie and Craig Wagner Brownstown, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, John R Sirmans, Clinton, S.C.; a number of nieces of nephews.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. today at Music Funeral Services of Lakeland, Ga.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, in Brownstown, Ind.
