Mrs. Audrey Chambers Driggers, age 67 of Vidalia, died Saturday, July 28, 2012 at her home after an extended illness.
She was a native of Uvalda and Lived in Montgomery County until moving to Toombs County in 1963. She retired from Bell South, worked at Oxford Manufacturing for several years and was a 1982 Graduate of Swainsboro Tech in the L.P.N. program. She nursed at Bethany Nursing Home, R.T. Stanley Clinic and Memorial Medical Center in Savannah. She attended Calvary Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her former husband, Junior Driggers; a daughter, Carol Banks and a sister, Lena Hackle.
Mrs. Driggers is survived by four daughters, Pat Driggers Grantham and husband Oscar, Jan Driggers Callaway and husband David all of Ludowici, Wanda Driggers McQuitty and husband Kyle of Valdosta, and Charlotte Driggers Meadows and husband Vince of Santa Claus; eight grandchildren, Pam, Tammy, Roger, D.J., Russ, Brooke, Kasey, and Samantha; eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 31, at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Efton Green officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
