VALDOSTA —
CMSGT James Mitchell Crace, (USAF Ret.), 77, of Valdosta, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at his home after a lengthy illness surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Sept. 27, 1934, in Salyersville, Ky., to the late James M. and Grace Minix Crace and had lived in Valdosta for the past 42 years. Mr. Crace was retired from the U.S. Air Force after 28 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Jill Grove Crace of Valdosta; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Linda and Bill Riffle of Lenox, Deborah Crace of Moultrie, Tina and Eddie Huntley of Panama City, Fla., Stacy and Steve Nelms of Dothan, Ala.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, John Crace; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Beacher Crace and Burt Crace; three sisters, Minnie Rudy, Ann Taylor and Maude Cantrell.
