VALDOSTA —
Madie Dame Perryman, 80, of Stockbridge, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Perryman was born on Jan. 13, 1932, in Clinch County to the late Willard W. and Grace Fiveash Dame. She moved to Valdosta at an early age and graduated from Valdosta High School where she was captain of the cheerleaders. Following many years of employment with Southern Bell, as an operator, she devoted her life to raising her children. Before moving to Stockbridge 12 years ago, she had been a faithful member of Christ Episcopal Church and St. Barnabas Episcopal Church for many years.
Mrs. Perryman is survived by two children, Josh Perryman of Fernandina and Jamie Perryman Case (Johnny) of Stockbridge; grandchildren include Jordan Perryman and Slade Hudson of Stockbridge; three wonderful great- grandchildren, Wyatt Mack, Brenna Perryman and Kinzley Perryman; brother, William B. Dame (Shirley); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mrs. Perryman was preceded in death by her husband, James Perryman Jr.; and her brother, Keith Dame.
A funeral mass will be held Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church in Valdosta with the Rev. Tar Drazdowski officiating. The family will receive friends and visitors at the Church Parish Hall, one hour prior to the mass. Burial service will follow in McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
