Francis Adell Adcock Moore, 75, of Valdosta passed away late Friday afternoon October 5, 2012 in the Lakehaven Nursing Home in Valdosta after a lengthy illness. She was born February 28, 1937 in Yazoo City, Miss. to the late Malcom George Adcock and Maude Adcock Carley. She was a devoted homemaker, wife mother, and ‘Nana’ to her family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Husband Brookshier C. Moore, infant daughter Jackie Elise Adair, sister Barbara McGinty, and a brother Malcolm Adcock. She was a member of the Seasons Church in Valdosta.
Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law Pierce Desmond and Robin Steele of Meridian, Miss.; Daughters and son-in-law Darlene V. Kirk of Columbus, Miss., Nancy Karen Beaugh of Columbus, Miss. and Jo A. and Jeremy W. Pate of Valdosta; Grandchildren Karen Beaugh Sturgis of Austin, Texas, Amanda Ward Steis of Valdosta, Kylie Alaina Ward of Valdosta, Justus G. Desmond Steele of Meridian, Miss., Mary Catherine Lindsay of Starkville, Miss.; Great grandchild Jayden Sturgis; Sister Lucy McCaslin of Austin, Texas; Brothers Billy Adcock of Gautier, Miss. and Jerald Adcock of Baltimore, Md.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday October 8, 2012 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial in Riverview Memorial Gardens cemetery in Valdosta.
