VALDOSTA —
Larry Rogers Sr., 60, of Jacksonville, Fla., passed away Oct. 7, 2012, at North Florida Community Hospice Center. He was born in Valdosta, Ga., on Aug. 19, 1952, to the late Arnie and Marie Hooker Rogers. Mr. Rogers was a veteran in the U.S. Army and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, J.D. Rogers of Middleburg, Fla.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Jr. and Lori Rogers, Live Oak, Fla., Jerrett and Kara Rogers Valdosta, Chris and Britney Rogers, Valdosta; four daughters and sons-in-law, Tina Moss, Middleburg, Fla., Gina and Bill McCarthy, Jacksonville, Fla., Michelle Santos, Jacksonville, Fla., Crystal and Ricky Evans, Middleburg, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; brother and partner, Marc Rodgers and Michael Carroll, Valdosta; several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Sympathy can be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com.
