VALDOSTA —
Mary Skinner, 76, of Valdosta, passed away Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at her residence. She was born in Berrien County, Ga., on Jan. 6, 1936, to the late Willie D. and Mattie (Selph) Warren. Ms. Skinner was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She retired from Precious Treasures Day Care. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Skinner Sr.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Daryl Jones, Valdosta; son and daughter-in-law, John Jr. and Kathy Skinner, Valdosta; two grandchildren, Kristen Skinner (Timmy), Derek Skinner (Michelle); great-grandson, Jacob Skinner; two sisters and brother-in-law, Goldie and Richard Dunlap, Tahlequah, Okla., Eloise Stone, Valdosta; brother, Franklin “Buddy” Warren, Fitzgerald; special companion, Tiger; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with entombment to follow in Pleasant Cemetery in Berrien County.
