VALDOSTA —
Ancil Eugene Cumbus, 85, of Ray City, died Wednesday Nov. 21, 2012 in the South Georgia Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 26, 1927 in Berrien County to the late Marcelious Cumbus and the late Frances Williams.
He was a retired farmer and carpenter. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ray City.
He is survived by his wife: Lois Gunter Cumbus of Ray City; four sons, David Cumbus of Nashville, Junior Cumbus of Nashville, Jimmy Kersey of Moultrie, and Paul Kersey of Brookfield; five daughters: Grace Woods of Adel, Jean Strawder of Nashville, Marilyn Strawder of Nashville, Melba Evans of Nashville, and Debra Fountain of Valdosta; two sisters: Betty Rigdon of Nashville and Gloria Ann White of Eustis, Fla.; 26 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012 at 11 a.m. in Fellowship Cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Palmer officiating.
Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 23, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. — Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville, Ga.
