Donald Glen (Donnie) Foster, 50, of Lake Park died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013 at Langdale Hospice House. He was born on Oct. 2, 1962 in Indianapolis, Ind. and had lived in this area since 1975. Mr. Foster attended Pine Grove Community Church and was employed with Winnersville Elite. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and enjoyed time with his children.
Survivors include his three children, Daphnie Foster, Shelby Foster and Donald Foster, Jr., the mother of his children, Michelle Shifflett, his parents, Jerry and Margaret Foster of Lake Park, brother and sister in law, Jerry, Jr. and Jodi Foster of Vidalia, his sister, Robin Foster of Birmingham, Ala., a special friend, Valerie Corbin of Valdosta, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
A visitation for Mr. Foster will be held on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home, 2215 N. Patterson St., Valdosta, GA 31602. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Donald (Donnie) Foster Trust Fund, c/o Commercial Banking Company, Attn; Pam Yeager, 3462 N. Valdosta Road, Valdosta, GA 31602.
