Charles Robert “Charlie” Kendrick, 71, of Zebulon, passed away Oct., 29, 2012. He was born in Morven, Ga., to the late George Kendrick and Evelyn West Kendrick. He worked as a bus driver, engineer, and yard supervisor at MARTA for 32 years before retiring. He was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church in Milner, where he served as deacon. He enjoyed fishing and traveling and was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Reba Kendrick; children and their spouses, Vickie and Mitchell Cardell of Griffin, Charlotte and Tommy Gibson of Griffin, and Charles Jr. “Robby” and Toletta Kendrick of Meansville; sisters, brother and their spouses, Joy and John Barrett of Lake Park, Mary Ann and Robert Cunningham of Orchard Hill, Patricia and Cliff Harden of San Antonio, Texas, Walker and Ann Kendrick of Duluth, Barbara and Roger Davis of Statenville; 10grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home. Pastor Swayne Poole and the Rev. Gene Maddox officiated. Interment followed in Moody Memorial Gardens.
Visitation was held on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. — Moody-Daniel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Zebulon, Ga.
