VALDOSTA —
Mackenzie Alizabeth Corbett My Girl, two months old, of Lake Park, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Shands at the University of Florida, Gainesville, Fla. She was born Jan. 20, 2013 in Valdosta, the daughter of Scott and Sarah Corbett.
In addition to her parents of Lake Park, she is survived by three brothers, Brayden, Austin and Danny Corbett, at home; grandparents, Ron and Kathy Corbett of Lake Park, and Rick and Debbie Johnston of Lake Park; great-grandparents, Joan Corbett Lee of Valdosta, Mary Helon King of Donalsonville, Nora Johnston of Lake Park, and Stephen and Mary Cowley of Rochester, NY; two uncles, Jake Corbett, and Eric Johnston and wife Amanda, all of Lake Park; one aunt, Toni Gay and husband Rusty of Valdosta; numerous great-aunts, great-uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandfathers, Jesse (Mack) Corbett, Newton (Jabo) King, and Ivan Johnston.
The funeral service for Mackenzie will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Redland Baptist Church, with Rev. Jay Watkins officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery, Echols County. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home, Lake Park.
