VALDOSTA —
Mr. Leroy Burt, 62 of Dixie passed away Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Burt was born Nov. 5, 1950 to Roy D. Burt and Ester Lee Johnson. He was a member of the Dixie Baptist Church and was employed with Harris Food Service.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Burt of Dixie; children, Brandi Burt Pohlmeier and husband, David of Elgin, Ill., Bill and Leslie Burt of Hahira, Shiloh Burt of Hahira, Ben and Laurie Henderson of Clyattville, and B.J. Henderson of Dixie; mother, Ester Lee Brown of Valdosta; grandchildren, Jacob Burt, Garrett Burt, Ella Pohlmeier, Henry Pohlmeier, Shelby Henderson, Brittany Henderson, Haley Henderson, Gauge Henderson, and Kylie Henderson; two sisters, Betty Coker and Shirley Martin, both of Valdosta; and special companion, Crickett. Mr. Burt was preceded in death by his father, Roy Darius Burt.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Dixie Cemetery with the Rev. Art Harris officiating. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-9 p.m. at Maxwell-Miller Funeral Home.
