Lois Palmer, 74, of Tallahassee passed away Friday on Jan. 11, 2013. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 14, 2012 at Beth Page Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. Sunday at Beggs Funeral Home, 3322 Apalachee Parkway, Tallahassee, Fla. 32311, 850-942-2929.
A native of Capitola, Fla., Lois was born to F.G. “Doc” and Eva Belle Palmer. She was employed with the State of Florida for 55 years. She loved to travel and visit with friends and family, and was a member of Lloyd Baptist Church.
She is survived by a brother, Fred Palmer (Gail) of Adel, Ga.; niece, Melissa Betts (Tony) of Adel, Ga.; and her children, Palmer, Pate, and Emilee Betts; cousins, Sarah Esner of Tallahassee, Burton Snyder (Martha) and Gloria Jones of Capitola, Sonny Carter (Clara) of Lakeland, Rudy Snyder (Sharon) and James Palmer of Tallahassee, Brookie Gail Huffine of Bryan, Texas, Joyce Palmer of Bainbridge, Ga. and Dennis Palmer of Pelham, Ga. — Beggs Funeral Homes, Apalachee Parkway Chapel.
