VALDOSTA —
Ms. Cynthia Ann Register was born on Aug. 5, 1959 in Hahira, Ga. to James (Dude) Register and Rosetta Mumford Register. She departed this life on Jan. 13, 2013.
She attended the Lowndes County School system. She worked at LARC until her health failed. She was a member of Mt. Vienna AME Church and was a devoted usher. She was a happy, loving person who was always smiling and wanting to give you a kiss. She was preceded in death by her father, James Register, grandparents; Henry and Lona Register, Gordon, Aquilla, and Survilla Mumford; sisters, Willie B. Marshall, Virginia Register, Mary Clara Register, Annie Lona Gillard and Mary Elma Barnes; brothers, Freddie Lee Register, James Register, Jr., Zabell Register and Jerry C. Register.
She leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted mother, Rosetta Register; brother, Hubert Register (Arlene) of Philadelphia, Pa.; sisters, Betty Coaxum (Frank, Jr.) of Stafford, Va., Lillie Stanford (Harold) of Atlanta, Yvonne Williams (Marvin), Eva Mae Toomer (Willie) of Valdosta, Katie Smith of Montgomery , Ala., Emma Robinson (Alton) of Valdosta, Melvina Hamilton of Toledo, Ohio, Aquilla Griffin (Elijah), Cecil; one sister-in-law, Willie Pearl Register of Valdosta; one brother-in-law, Clarence Gillard of Toledo, Ohio; uncle, Ellis Mumford (Ada), of Valdosta; aunt, Florine Mumford of Philadelphia, Pa.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 at Mt. Vienna Church, 4880 Vienna Rd., Valdosta. The remains will lie in state from 12 Noon until the hour of service. Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. this evening at Lane Memorial Chapel. — Lane Memorial Chapel, Adel
