VALDOSTA —
Wilma Ellington Daugharty, 99, of Valdosta died on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013 at Fellowship Home following a brief illness. She was born on Oct. 8, 1913 in Lulu, Fla. to the late Henry and Mary Herrin Ellington. She was a homemaker and a member of the Homerville United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife and mother and was a great example of a life well-lived.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Glenice and F.W. Fogg of Neptune Beach, Fla. and Willena and William B. Crewe of Montgomery, Ala.; a son and daughter-in-law, George Ray, Jr. and Judi Daugharty of Homerville; eight grandchildren, Bill Fogg III, Sheri Parkinson, Laura Taylor, Brad Crewe, Mark Crewe, Molly Daugharty, Betsy Clifton, and Katy Daugharty; nine great-grandchildren, Katie Fogg, Sarah Fogg, Will Fogg, Britt Dehgan, Peyton Taylor, Lindsay Hope Crewe, William Crewe III, Hannah Crewe, and Holly Mullis.
Services for Wilma Daugharty will be held today, Jan. 22, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with the Rev. James Davis and Mr. Brad Crewe officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
