Catherine Williams, 66 of Valdosta, Ga. was born on June 29, 1946 to the late Gus Williams, and the late Rose Mae Williams. Mrs. Williams received her education in the Lanier County Public School system. She was a member of St. Lewis Baptist Church and served faithfully in the choir. She was employed by Nashville Textiles. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John L. Williams.
She leaves to cherish her memories her brothers and sisters, Curlene Williams, Damien Williams (Mildred), Bernice Williams, Audrey Williams, Pastor Ulysee Williams (Beverly), Rosetta Yates and Sam Williams; sisters-in-law, Patricia Ann Williams, and Beverly M. Williams; nephews, Brian Williams, Terrance Williams, Eskazita Williams, Marlos Davis, John Levell Williams, Adrian Williams and Phillip Yates; nieces, Tiesha S. Jackson, Teresa Edwards, Renee Yates, Precious Williams, Tanitha Cason, Lisa Calhoun, Samatha Williams and Tisa Williams; a special friend, Lelia McEady; special great-niece, Latasha Yates; a host of great-nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 at St. Lewis Baptist Church and the Rev. Ulysses Mims will officiate. Interment will follow in Charles Knight Cemetery. — Harrington Funeral Home.
