Norma Jean Harrod Linares, 73 of Ray City, Ga. passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013 in South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on Oct. 28, 1939 in Ray City, Ga. to the late D.C. and Clara Jean Harrod. She was of the Christian faith and a homemaker. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Salvador R. Linares, Jr. and a son, Salvador “Buddy” Linares III.
Her survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Jane Linares (Owners of the Lighthouse Grill) of Lakeland, Ga.; son, Timothy Linares, of Dunedin, Fla.; brothers, Henry Harrod of Albany, Ga.; Jimmy Harrod of Ray City, Ga.; Larry Harrod, of Ray City, Ga.; Pixie Harrod of Nashville, Ga.; local granddaughter, Stefani Linares of Ray City, Ga.; local grandson, Michael Linares of Ray City, Ga.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2013 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services. The family will receive friends one hour prior (1 p.m.) to the services. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Music Funeral Services. Graveside services will be held in Tampa, Fla.
